Wheelchair & Rehab Specialist I In Illinois Job Details

Basic Function:  Assembles, modifies, and delivers wheelchairs and their related accessories and equipment to patients in their homes or other outreach areas.

Requirements for this position include:

1.                  Graduation from high school, or the equivalency, is required.

2.                  At least one year of experience in a home medical equipment retail capacity or service technician role, coupled with a strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of wheelchair assembly and functionality, is preferred.

3.                  Must possess valid  IL drivers license and must be deemed as an acceptable driver in accordance with the MHS Fleet Safety Policy (five year MVR will be required).

4.         Possesses good oral communication, customer relations, and interpersonal skills.

5.         Possesses basic computer keyboarding skills and the ability to use Mestamed and Microsoft Word software.

6.         Demonstrates the ability to successfully complete the assigned/required education and training within first 60 days of employment.

7.         Demonstrates the ability to push and pull up to 75 pounds.
