Laboratory Assistant In Illinois Job Details

The basic function of this position requires that the employee be able to perform rudimentary laboratory duties. A variety of tasks fall within this classification such as blood collection from patients and performance of moderate complexity  testing on patients of all ages, and other functions within the department under the supervision of  a medical technologist.

Requirements for this position include: 

1.       High school graduate required.

2.       Manual dexterity is important.

3.       Ability to accurately follow directions and perform specific functions.

4.       Ability to communicate effectively with hospitalized patients and outpatients.

5.       Moderate physical effort.
