TMH - Chaplain Per Diem Pool In Illinois Job Details

Hours: As needed - Weekend, Overnight on-call/Saturdays

Basic Function: To respond to emergency ?codes? and patient death that occur on the evening/night shift, Saturdays and on other occasions when needed.  The on-call chaplain is a member of the pastoral care staff and is on the payroll budgeted by the pastoral care department.

Requirements for the position include:

1. B.A./B.S. degree, or equivalent amount of college credits to warrant a minimum of associate?s degree in psychosocial, theological or related field required.


2. A minimum of three years experience in pastoral care preferred.


3. One unit of CPE or equivalent educational experience such as Pastor of an area Church with solid standing within his or her denomination as evidenced by ecclesiastical endorsement.
