Basic Function: Provides extensive day-to-day customer contact and actively seeks resolution to customer problems with designated product line (s) on-site. Interacts with technical and in-house customer service personnel to determine exact nature of problem and implements remedial procedures for customer. Prepares regular and special reports documenting customer problems/complaints and procedures for correcting them. Manages projects, given and directed by the supervisor. Competent to work on extensive troubleshooting in Clinical applications is expected. Specifications: Knowledge, Training, Work Experiences & Physical Effort: 1. Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Business, or Math OR technical training equivalent. 2. Cerner Millennium - PharmNet, FirstNet, SurgiNet, and/or PowerChart Office experience required. 3. Expertise in SQL or CCL command language is required. 4. A good database knowledge, application design, administration and troubleshooting skills required. 5. Programming or systems analysis experience is preferred. 6. Two years experience in an information systems, business, paramedical, or related profession preferred, but not required. 7. Proven experience with increasing support responsibility, documentation skills, communication, system responsibility, and upgrade management is preferred. 8. Broad understanding of computer systems including hardware, operating systems, programming languages, and data communications. 9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 10. Demonstrated skills in developing and maintaining good interpersonal relationships. 11. Demonstrated skills in leadership, organization, and team building. 12. Demonstrated ability to manage system projects- both human and technical components. 13. Ability to research and analyze system requirements, develops alternatives, and implements solutions.
