Manage successfully all phases of assigned, graphic-design projects and activities.  Develop graphic design themes, concepts, logos and other visual elements to successfully support MHS branding, marketing, strategic planning and cultural development objectives through print, electronic and other media.   Communicate directly with printing and other artwork output service providers to ensure successful application and production of artwork.


Requirements of the position include:


1.      Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Art, Communication or related field required.


2.      Minimum of seven years' experience required in a communications and graphic arts and design setting with creative, publication design and print/production management responsibilities.


3.      Proven, advanced ability to develop design concepts for publications, other print materials (brochures, pamphlets, booklets, fliers, posters, direct mail pieces and print ads, among others) and audio-visual productions.


4.      Proven self-starter capable of successfully developing and managing the timely completion of all phases of design assignments and projects ? creative/conceptual, design and printing/production.


5.      Independent, creative thinker and problem-solver with proven ability to work under deadline pressures.


6.      Proven human relations skills and ability to interact with coworkers, allied staff (Print Shop and Photography); clients from all areas of the Health System; and external vendors.


7.      Demonstrated experience using Adobe PhotoShop, Photoshop and Microsoft Windows platform software programs.


8.      Proven, strong knowledge of printing equipment and processes.


9.      Moderate physical effort.


10.  Strong personal and professional commitment to the MHS Communication Office's Standards of Excellence.


11.  Possess a strong personal and professional commitment to Memorial Health System's mission, vision, values and a Health System culture devoted to patient safety, clinical effectiveness and quality of care.
