Basic Function:

The Registered Nurse/Health Care Assistant works directly under the MPS supervising physician(s) to assist the physician in providing medical care for 10 to 20 hospitalized adult patients each day.  This position is also responsible for coordinating post-discharge health services, facilitating follow-up appointments in the clinic, and educating the patient and family members on pertinent health related issues.

Specifications:

1. RN with Bachelors Degree in Nurse or other health-related filed required.  Graduate clinical nursing degree preferred.


2. Valid Illinois RN license and CPR certification required.  ACLS required.


3. Three years recent acute care experience required.  Three years of critical care experience preferred.


4. Qualifies to be credentialed as a ?health care assistant? at the hospital(s) where supervising physician(s) admit.
