Acting under the general supervision of the Director, directs and coordinates the activities of the patient registration within MHS assigned to that team.  Manages and coordinates operations of department, patient registrars quality review and improvement process. Oversees the department?s compliance initiative and coordinates these efforts with MHS affiliate.  Assists various affiliates department in staff training and quality monitoring.  Works closely with other Patient Access Services and Patient Financial Services managers.


 


Requirements for this position include:



  1. Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or health care related field required.

  2. Three to Five (3-5) years of Patient Access Services/ Patient Financial Services or hospital experience required, of which one (1) year has been in a supervisor and/or management position.

  3. Experience should cover all aspects personnel management, collections, knowledge of regulatory requirement, pre-registration/registration and customer service.

  4. Must be able to plan, direct and supervise all aspects of patient registration activities.  Should possess leadership as well as technical skills, with strong emphasis on front-line customer service.

  5. Required to be able to monitor productivity of personnel assigned, provide feedback to team members and develop a plan of action to correct problem areas.

  6. Ability to work with various clinical and non-clinical departments leadership and staff.

  7. Must have sufficient oral and written communications skills to train and supervise assigned team personal while working with all levels of Medical Center Management.
