Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant In Illinois Job Details

Shift: Days and Weekend Rotation
Hours: 7:00am-4:00pm Mon-Fri; 1 Sat/Month

Basic Function: Position requires that the employee be able to perform rudimentary laboratory duties.  A variety of tasks fall within this classification such as blood collection from patients of all ages; performance of CLIA waived testing/other specimen collection; maintaining the stock of phlebotomy supplies; knowledge of insurance requirements for laboratory testing; completion of paperwork to accompany specimens; and basic scheduling

Requirements for this position include: 
1. High School graduate or equivalent.  
2. Previous phlebotomy experience preferred.
3. previous experience in the health care field in related work preferred.
4. Previous phlebotomy skills for collection of samples on all types and ages of patients preferred.
5. Completion of a phlebotomy course, preferred.
6. Certification for breath alcohol testing, preferred.
7. Drug screening certification preferred.
8. Valid CPR certification preferred.
