2:30-11:00pm, 5:30pm-2:00am, with every other weekend
Basic Function: To pre-register and register patients of Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. Performs financial collections for all patients, verifies insurance and complete patient placement duties. Collects accurate patient demographic and billing information in a timely manner. Interviews incoming patients or Associates, enter information into all appropriate software packages. Serves as a liaison between ancillary departments and other Patient Access Services areas.
Requirements for this position include:
- High School Graduate or GED equivalent required, Associate Degree or post-secondary education desired.
- Minimum typing skill of 40 WPM and/or 1 year CRT experience required.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently.
- Word processing/computer application experience and knowledge minimum.
- Prior public contact and/or customer service.
- Prefer medical terminology, medical office, registration or billing experience.
- Physically able to transport patients.
- Excellent critical thinking skills
