Mechanic / Locksmith III In Illinois Job Details

Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., with weekends as needed

Under minimal supervision, perform general locksmith, sign making and skilled mechanical maintenance services for all Medical Center facilities.

Requirements of this position include: 

1.     High school diploma or equivalent.

2.     Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprint specifications and technical information.

3.     Working knowledge of metals and non-metallic materials.

4.     Mechanical aptitude and ability including electric and acetylene welding.

5.     Ability to follow oral and written instruction and keep accurate documentation and records.

6.     Ability to maintain confidentiality of keying system and uniformity of signage program.

7.     Working knowledge of basic tools for repair or rebuilding.

8.     Ability to prioritize work.

9.     Work effectively with all levels of personnel.

10.    Four years of training or experience in building and equipment

         maintenance or successful completion of an apprenticeship program.

11.        Understand hydraulic and pneumatic processes.

12.        The employee provides tools & wenches needed for mechanical trade.

13.        Must possess valid Illinois drivers license and must be deemed as an acceptable driver in accordance with the MHS Fleet Safety Policy (five year MVR will be required).
