Basic Function:

Responsible for planning and coordination of clinical operations and program development of the clinical program/team.  Provides and coordinates comprehensive care to patients of all ages through the proper utilization of evaluation, planning and implementation of the treatment plan in accordance with established standards, policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines (approximately 75% of time is dedicated toward management of clinical caseload).   Additionally, assists Director and Rehabilitation Managers in on-site supervision of inpatient rehabilitation staff, particularly coordination of interdisciplinary team members (PT/PTA, OT/COTA, SLP, RN) involved in regional provision of program services. 

Requirements for this position include:

      1.     Illinois licensed/licensure eligible Physical Therapist.

2.     Ten years of clinical experience in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation setting is preferred (minimum of five years clinical experience required).

3.     Demonstrated clinical expertise as per performance appraisals or letters of recommendation.

4.     Broad based knowledge of current issues and trends in assigned program area.

5.     Strong leadership skills.

6.     Strong organizational skills.

7.     Excellent communication skills.

8.     CPR certification preferred.

9.     Precautions Category I.
