Basic Function: This individual operates within MMC?s corporate mission, strategic plan, goals & objectives, as well as those established by the Baylis Outpatient Surgery Advisory Board.  The Director has 24 hour accountability for the management and patient care within Baylis Surgery and for implementing the operating policies and procedures approved by the BOS Advisory Board.  Ensures the daily operations are managed in a way that optimizes efficient work flow, meets customer needs, and adheres to the annual operating and capital budgets.  The Director creates and maintains a work environment conducive to effective communication, collaboration, team building, and professionalism.

Requirements:

1.  Current RN licensure in the State of IL.

2.  Master?s degree preferred; BSN degree required.

3.  At least five years experience in perioperative nursing required with some experience in ambulatory OR preferred.

4.  2-3 years formal management experience required.

5.  Outstanding human relations/interpersonal skills.

6.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

7.  Certification as an Operating Room Nurse (CNOR) or Ambulatory Surgery Administrator (ASAC) certification obtained within two years.
