Basic Function: The primary function of the Staff Chaplain is to assist the patient and his or her family of all ages to meet their psychosocial, emotional and spiritual needs during a period of illness or injury and to be a pastoral care specialist to the personnel and medical staff as well as to the religious community. Job Requirements Include: * B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent. * M.Div degree, post-graduate work in Theology or equivalent preferred. * Three - five years experience in pastoral care preferred. * Minimum of four (4) units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)training or possess graduate or DMin. degree with requisite to complete CPE requirement with first 4 years of employment. * Eligible for Board Certification in the College of Chaplains (COC) and/or advanced certification in the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC).
