Surgical Assistant In Illinois Job Details

Basic function: Under direct supervision of nursing staff, performs a variety of non-professional tasks and duties to provide adequate and proper supportive services to assist in the optimum functioning of the operating room. Duties are performed in accordance with established department policies, standard aseptic practices, and special instruction from nursing professionals.

Requirements for this position include:
1. Knowledge and clinical skills to perform basic techniques acquired through training or experience; successfully completed OR surgical assistant training.
2. Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
