Hours: 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., with weekends as necessary

Coordinates all inventory and re-supply services to areas within the Department of Cardiac Surgery.  These services include the management of specific patient care and departmental support materials and/or equipment, subject to customer need, medical center, or departmental policies, procedures, and available resources. Monitors utilization of inventory and assists to manage resources to optimize utilization.  Facilitates processes to integrate Cerner and Lawson supply chain systems and serves as a trainer and resource to other users.  Promotes excellent communication between coworkers and departments. 


 


 Requirements of the position include:


































1.



High-school graduate or equivalent required. 



2.



Possess good math and writing skills and ability to calculate inventory of materials accurately. 



3.



5 years of inventory  experience that demonstrates ability to perform all inventory management and resupply functions.  Experienced  with use of computer-based inventory systems.



4.



Experience in leading teams, demonstrating ability to assume responsiblity for team effort in addition to maintaining specific routine assignments. Organized with ability to multi-task.



5.



Experience in serving as a trainer and preceptor.



6.



Ability to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills, consistently conducting behavior in a professional manner that leads to good working relationships with co-workers, customers, patients, and visitors.  Demonstrated  verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.  Ability to act as a positive resource person and department representative.



7.



Must be able to routinely lift an excess of 35-50 pounds and push/pull large, heavy transport carts.  Be able to stay on feet for extended periods and walk extended distances.  Be able to work under stress to provide maximum customer-service levels.
