Basic Function:

The Medical Lab Tech or Med Tech perform clinical laboratory examinations, proficiency testing, quality control, professional consultation, instrument maintenance and validation, testing validation, and testing management.

Requirements for this position include (for MLT): Associate in Science or Applied Science degree in Medical Laboratory Technology; board-registered or eligible for registry as a Medical Laboratory Technician and preferably board-registered with one of the national registries associated with laboratory practice (NCA, ASCP, ASMT, etc). 

Requirements for this position include (for MT): Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related field of study; board-registered or eligible for registry as a medical technologist and preferably board-registered with one of the national registries associated  with laboratory practice (NCA, ASCP, ASMT, etc)
