Minimum of BA/BS degree in accounting or finance with three years experience; knowledge of computerized accounting systems, Microsoft Office applications, and good communication skills required. Familiarity with mental health/developmental disabilities programs and funding, and not-for-profit corporation accounting practices highly desirable. Must have keyboarding and computer skills as required by position.


Assists the CFO in coordination, planning, and execution of agency fiscal policies and procedures, including budgeting, reporting, and oversight of daily business aspects as outlined in agency fiscal policies and procedures. The fiscal Services Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the Fiscal Services Representatives, as well as the accuracy of all general ledger transactions. Must be able to work directly with Payroll Office and Billing Office on accounting matters and must adhere to strict confidentiality standards.


Prepare and/or assist in preparation of accurate journal entries. Perform monthly view and analysis of general ledger accounts in a timely manner. Prepare and/or review account reconciliations as support for the journal entries and account balances. Perform month-end and year-end close procedures of all financial records and prepare or assist with the month-end financial reports.


Determine that all amounts recorded as revenue and outstanding receivables are accurate and supported by the reconciliations to funding source records and documents. Calculate the appropriate amount of reserves for contractual allowances, bad debts, and other potentially uncollectible amounts.


Assist CFO with communication to the users of MHCCI financial reports. Assist CFO with budget preparation. Assist in review of internal controls and implementation of policy and procedures changes, when necessary. Ensure compliance with MHCCI policies and procedures and requirements of legal, funding, and accrediting bodies.
