Treasury Accountant In Illinois Job Details

Basic Function:  Under direction and supervision of Treasury Manager develop and maintain day-to-day treasury operations by monitoring daily cash balances, transferring funds between accounts, forecast short and intermediate liquidity needs, monitor and minimize account fees, monitor and maximize risk-adjusted investment returns, prepare all related daily & month-end accounting entries, reconciliations, and analysis of investments and corporate debt, prepare reports and analysis of corporate cash activity, active participant in monthly close duties and meetings, participate within Memorial Health System?s Investment Committee, and analytically review and strategize Treasury initiatives.  Provide assistance and support to attain departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements for this position include:

1.     Bachelor?s degree in accounting or finance required or Bachelor?s degree in business with three years work experience in accounting or finance.

2.     Minimum of two year experience in banking, investments, or cash management and/or related field.

3.     Must possess good technical and professional skills.

4.     Must possess excellent analytical skills.

5.     Must possess excellent communication and human relations skills.

6.     Manages time efficiently.

7.     Must possess strong listening skills and the ability to communicate across multiple teams.

8.     Must be detail and quality oriented.

9.     Must be an independent worker with the ability to handle unstructured problems.

10. Must possess ability to compile data, analyze and develop recommendations and presentations.

11. Demonstrates personal initiative.

12. Proficient with personal computers and software (including Excel, Microsoft Word and Power Point).
