EMS/Inventory Control Technician In Illinois Job Details

Hours: 6:45 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

Basic Function: To evaluate and maintain equipment and supplies for the inpatient unit assigned.  To continue to function as an Emergency Medical Specialist. 

Requirements for this position include:   Illinois Department of Public Health EMT certificate, certificate of successful completion of Certified nurses aide training program, enrolled in Nursing school program, or enrolled in PreMed with Biology or chemistry major and have been a unit support attendant for 6 months.  Graduation from high school, or the equivalent.  Previous experience within the healthcare industry and with medical products and equipment is preferred.  Possesses basic math skills and keyboarding skills.  Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills.  Basic proficiency with personal computers and their associated applications, including word processing and spreadsheet software.  Previous experience with Microsoft products, such as Word and Excel is preferred.  Possesses the ability to regularly lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and safely operate product moving equipment.  Demonstrates the ability to multi-task autonomously while working on multiple responsibilities simultaneously.  Demonstration of the ability to perform adequate CPR with a current CPR card.
