Basic Function:

Performs assessment of educational needs, designs, develops, implements and evaluates educational programming to meet the learning needs of Emergency Department employees.  The Supervisor in cooperation and or collaboration with the Manager is responsible for the assigning, supervising and coordinating of operation of the Department of EMS & Emergency Medicine.  This position also requires a supervisory role in the Emergency Department.  Delivers and facilitates educational programs to create a culture that supports and promotes staff well-being, satisfaction, excellence in performance, and personal development.  Serves as a resource person and consultant to managers in the development and implementation of educational programs.

Specifications:  Knowledge, Training, & Work Experiences:

1.       Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Illinois;

2.       Minimum of five (5) years experience in emergency services required;

3.       Minimum of three (3) years experience in a leadership/management position preferred;

4.       Certification in ACLS, TNS, MICU and Special Transport required;

5.       Successful completion of EMS & Emergency Medicine Orientation program.

6.       Obtain instructor certifications in TNCC, PALS, ECRN, ENPC
