Basic Function:

 Provide technical support for the Clinical Simulation Center and Surgical Services.  Responsible for Clinical Simulation operations, including creating and running simulation scenarios, as well as preparation, maintenance and repair of computerized manikins and simulation equipment.  Responsible for day-to-day operations of the Clinical Simulation Center. Responsible for operating and maintaining the hardware and software of all computers and related equipment for the Simulation Center and Surgical Suites with A/V recording capability. 

Specifications:  Knowledge, Training, & Work Experiences:

1.    Bachelor?s degree in technology or related field required. 

2.    Three years relevant experience in a technical field is required.  Experience in clinical simulations is preferred. 

3.    Demonstrate ability to use analytical problem solving skills to resolve issues related to simulation and other technology.

4.    Demonstrated outstanding verbal and written communications skills.

5.    Demonstrate strong organizational and management skills such as ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents, ability to trouble shoot and fix equipment timely and under pressure.

6.    Demonstrate ability to be self motivated, work independently and as part of a team.

7.    Demonstrate ability to work flexible hours.

8.    Demonstrate ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail and presentation software.

9.    Demonstrate knowledge of audio/visual equipment.

10.  Demonstrate ability to learn new software and hardware quickly and independently.

11.  Demonstrate ability to maintain confidentiality regarding job assignments and sensitive issues.
