Hours: 8:00a.m. - 4:30p.m. with weekends as needed & call rotation

Basic Function: 


Under general direction, formulates and defines scope and objectives based on user defined needs.  Devises or modifies procedures to solve moderately complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results.  Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written.  Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.  Fully utilizes project management tools including estimating work efforts in advance of projects, prioritization of project efforts, planning, developing, implementing and post implementation reviews.  Responsible for quality assurance review.  Acts as project leader for small to medium scale projects to support business processes of departments impacted.


 


Specifications: Knowledge, Training, Work Experiences & Physical Effort:


1.       Bachelor's degree in computer science or other related field is required.  Four or more years in equivalent applied knowledge in a information systems environment, particularly in specific areas such as business, finance, customer support or clinical operations may be considered in lieu of educational requirements. 


2.       Three or more years experience in Information Technology areas including project management, advanced support management, systems analysis, programming or other similar experience required.  Relevant system experience in financial systems is required


3.       Demonstrated ability to manage small to medium scale system projects.


4.       Ability to research and analyze system requirements, develops alternatives, and implement solutions.


5.       General understanding of computer systems including hardware, operating systems, programming languages, and data communications.


6.       Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.


7.       Demonstrated skills in developing and maintaining good interpersonal relationships.


8.       Demonstrated skills in organizational dynamics and team building.


9.       Basic understanding of business and operational processes.


10.    Availability for evening and weekend 'on-call' as required for 24 hour, 7 day a week support of systems.


11.    Ability to use basic programming tools preferred.


12.    Light physical effort.
