Basic Function: The Staff Pharmacist performs the duties of a licensed, registered pharmacist in Memorial Medical Center according to established policies, standard practices of the profession and state/federal laws. Staff pharmacists fill orders for parenteral and enteral medications, monitor patient drug therapy and provide drug information. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, a staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy manager.
Requirements for this position include: BS degree in Pharmacy with current Illinois licensure and documented accrual of 30 contact hours of ACPE approved continuing education in the previous 24 months per State Board of Pharmacy Regulations.
