The System Director of Operations Improvement will be responsible for identifying and managing improvement opportunities for key operational and clinical initiatives.   Under the direction of the VP of Quality & Operations Improvement, this position will plan and manage projects related to: improving processes through decreasing variation, cost and cycle times; enhancing safety and identifying and promoting evidenced based operation and clinical performance.  The System Director, Operations Improvement will assist, coordinate, and lead efforts related to continually maintaining or exceeding regulatory/accreditation standards, and will actively support the pursuit of Baldrige level organizational performance. 


 


Requirements for this position include:


 


1.    Bachelor's degree required, graduate level degree in an applicable discipline and direct patient care (clinical) experience highly desired.


2.    Demonstrated project management experience; Six Sigma and Lean experience a plus.


3.    Working knowledge of accreditation standards (Joint Commission, CARF, etc.) required.  Experience in the application of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Health Care criteria strongly preferred.


4.    Demonstrated ability to perform complex data analysis, draw appropriate conclusions, and convey recommendations to all levels of the organization through written reports and group presentations.


5.    Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and to promote cooperation, collaboration, and high performance within and across disciplines.


6.    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.


7.    Ability to work independently and to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.


8.    Strong, analytical, planning, problem-solving and organizational skills.


9.    Strong sense of ownership and high level of accountability.


10. Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, project, and presentation computer application software. Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project, and Power Point) is strongly preferred.
