Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in social services field, or meets the "Mental Health Professional" designation as determined by the Department of Human Services. Related experience preferred.  Must have keyboarding and computer skills as required by position.  Must be able to complete paperwork per policies and funding source requirements.  Must be familiar and comfortable with CDT, beable to work in a fast pace environment, and have strong assessment and diagnostic skills. Must have valid IL Driver's License, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance. 

Receives initial contacts and makes initial assessments on new unattached agency clients or walk-in/emergency clients seeking emergency services.  Counsels crisis clients to stabilize clients' conditions and prevents clients from harming themselves or others using short-term crisis intervention techniques and/or referral to other support services.
