Hours: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (9 Month position during school year)

This is a 9 month position to be filled during school year. 

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in social services field, or must meet the "Mental Health Professional" designation as determined by the Department of Human Services.  Related experience preferred. Must have computer skills. Must be able to participate in agency's after-hours crisis intervention services as requested by supervisor. Must have valid IL Driver's License, reliable transportation, proof of auto insurance, and be able to pass DCFS background check.  Must have or obtain CPR, First Aid, and CPI certifications.

 Provides community-based daily case management services to emotionally and behaviorally disturbed youth and their birth families and/or substitute care providers in the DHS SASS Programs.  The SASS Case Manager will insure continuity of care for high-risk youth suffering from emotional and behavioral disturbances through direct clinical intervention, monitoring, and advocacy functions.
