Research/Planning Analyst In Illinois Job Details

Basic Function:  To support Senior/System Leadership and Management team and product-line decision making through research of electronic databases, analysis and quantitative information using available software tools and customized computer programs and presentation of strategic findings. 

Specifications: Knowledge, Training, Work Experiences & Physical Effort:

1.     Bachelor?s Degree in computer science, management information services, health care administration or related field.

2.     Completion of advanced level coursework in database design, computer system management and strategic decision support services.

3.     Three years experience in information services in a healthcare or comparable environment.

4.     Demonstrated organizational, analytical and quantitative skills and logical approach to problem solving.

5.     Excellent written and oral communication skills.

6.     Excellent interpersonal skills.

7.     Broad understanding of computer systems including hardware, operating systems, programming languages, database management systems, report writing and evolving information service technologies (including graphic presentation of data).

8.     Demonstrated ability in the use of Structured Query Language (SQL) and other procedural programming languages.

9.     Moderate physical effort.
