Surgical Tech Trainee In Illinois Job Details

Hours: 6:45am - 3:15pm

Basic function: To perform "scrub" technologist duties under a designated preceptor., assisting with draping and the utilization of instruments for a particular surgery and age of a patient serviced.  Demonstrates basic knowledge of sterile technique and sterilization procedures.

Requirements for this position include: High-school graduate diploma.  Anatomy and Physiology class required. OR  1 year experience in the Perioperative setting and current enrollment in Anatomy and Physiology class (to be completed by end of Surgical Technician training). Participate in an on-the-job training program offered by Memorial Health Systems for an operating-room technologist.  Moderate physical effort.
