Basic Function:  Under general supervision, provides day-to-day customer support and resolves customer problems with designated product line(s) on-site.  Interfaces with technical and in-house customer service personnel to define data needs develop reports that meet  customer requirements.  Independently performs data extraction and develops reporting tools for customer.  Documents problems and corrective procedures developed and implemented to improve data mining and reporting functions.  Serves as a resource to Value Analysis and Supply Chain staff, management and clinical departments on Materials Management software applications.  In this capacity, assists with the development, implementation and evaluation of information retrieval and display methods to support electronic data collection, e-commerce for Value Analysis initiatives for Memorial Health System. 

Requirements for this position include: Bachelors Degree in computer science, business, or health care related discipline required; Proficient in use computer systems, including hardware, software, operating systems, and communications tools. Advanced Mircosoft Office skills including intermediate level experience with  M/S Access Database (or other similar database) knowledge preferred; Two - four years experience in an information systems, business, paramedical, or related profession preferred, but not required; thorough understanding of assigned application functions and structure, or the ability to acquire this knowledge;   Skill in developing good interpersonal relationships as well as having good verbal and written communication skills; System support may include, but not limited to, 24 hour and/or weekend call for systems.;Basic introductory experience with some programming functions or willing to acquire expertise within one year.
