Basic Function: The manager operates within Memorial Medical Center's corporate and hospital mission, philosophy, goals and objectives. Utilizing the shared governance philosophy, the manager assumes 24-hour accountability for department management and quality of patient care. The manager creates and maintains a work environment conducive to effective communication, collaboration, team building and professionalism. The manager assures that care provided is appropriate to the age of the patients serviced in his/her assigned department and that staff competency requirements include age-specific components and maintains positive physician and interdepartmental/intradepartmental relations as well as positive employee morale.

Requirements for this position include: RN registered in the state of Illinois or graduate of approved School of Radiology (maintains an Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety license and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certificate); at least three years experience in acute care nursing/cardiac cath lab with demonstrated leadership/management skills; a Bachelor's degree held or being actively pursued with a Master's degree preferred.
