Basic Function: Directs Facilities Operations to assure efficient operation and preservation of all properties and equipment constituting Memorial Health System and all allied foundations, organizations, and facilities. Designs, directs, establishes, organizes and directs the goals, objectives, and standards of performance for department staff; develops, implements and interprets operating policies and procedures; and maintains and interprets standards, regulations and codes.

Requirements for this position include: Bachelor's degree in an appropriate engineering discipline or 10+ years of related experience in lieu of education; Five to seven years of experience in a similar role in a healthcare environment; Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager credential highly desirable; Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state and local standards and codes and regulatory and accreditation agency requirements.  Knowledge required of standard operating procedures for plant operation; Supervisory experience including personnel management and work standards for skilled personnel; Knowledge of budged development, control and direction; Must possess valid Illinois drivers license and must be deemed as an acceptable driver in accordance with the MHS Fleet Safety Policy (five year MVR will be required).
