Basic Function:  Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Corporate Finance, serves MHS and its affiliates


 by ensuring that all federal, state and local tax returns are prepared, reviewed, approved and submitted for the following


 corporations: Memorial Health System, Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Medical Center Foundation, Memorial Home


Services, Memorial Physician Services, and other corporations as assigned. Provide technical advice to other MHS affiliates


regarding federal, state and local tax issues. 


 


Requirements for this position include:


1)      Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, with Masters Degree in


      Tax or Accountancy required.  CPA required.


2)      Two years of general accounting experience required,


      healthcare experience preferred.


3)      Five years corporate tax preparation experience required,


      not for profit return experience preferred.


4)      Minimum of two years of supervisory experience required.


5)      Demonstrated skills in interpreting complex tax laws and 


      recommending solutions to issues confronting the


     organization.


6)      Must process excellent management skills to ensure


      responsibilities are completed in a timely, efficient and


      accurate manner.


7)      Must possess a high level of accuracy.


8)      Must possess excellent communication and human relations


      skills.


9)      Must possess a high degree of organizational skills.


10)   Must possess a working knowledge of PC's and


      Microsoft Office.
