Basic Function: The IT Testing Coordinator demonstrates good test script development, testing cycle planning, implementation, and tracking in order to help deliver complex projects within an integrated patient-care delivery network.  The Testing Coordinator will work closely with all project team members, both within and outside IT department to create a customer-service focus, assuring reliable testing results for application implementations, against stated scope and project plans.  Carries out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements.  Provides regular status updates to project management.

Requirements of the position include: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Business or related discipline, six or more years previously applied knowledge may be considered in lieu of degreed educational requirements; five or more years experience in Information Technology, including, but not limited to, development/planning and coordination of testing of various computer applications in clinical operations, business, Information Systems, or other related field; understanding of computer systems including hardware, operating systems, programming languages, and data communications; requires highest level understanding of organization's business systems and industry requirements; demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, both in and outside of IT is essential; demonstrated technical and business focused written, verbal and presentation skills required; demonstrated dedication to strong customer service support is essential; demonstrated skills in organizational dynamics and team building; demonstrated understanding of clinical and/or business operations; healthcare application implementation experience preferred but not required; prior experience with automated testing systems helpful, but not required.
