Work Schedule:  Applicant must be flexible and willing to to serve on a team that provides coverage in Springfield hospital emergency rooms from 5pm to 12:30 a.m. and/or 12:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. 

Conducts mental health assessments for persons seeking emergency psychiatric services a hospital setting.  Assesses needs and makes referrals to local and state psychiatric treatment services and agency crisis residential services depending upon appropriate level of care.  Assesses and processes SASS and CHIPS referrals and other program referrals as they arise.

Bachelor's degree or Master's degree (clinical practicum completed) in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or closely related human service field from accredited university is required. Illinois licensure as LCPC or LCSW and prior experience are preferred.  Must be able to pass background check, drug test, have valid IL Driver's License, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and proof of auto liability insurance.
