Pharmacy Student Intern In Illinois Job Details

Basic Function: Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, the pharmacy student intern will provide pharmaceutical care to patients in a variety of clinical and pharmacy settings.   This includes: patient interviews and counseling; communication with physicians, nurses and other health care team members to solve medication related problems; compounding of intravenous medications; and drug information.    

Requirements of the position include: Completion and in good standing of at least two professional pharmacy years at an accredited institution; cumulative GPA of 2.5 as demonstrated through official school transcripts; Must hold a current Illinois Pharmacy Technician License; Commitment to an 8 week working program, including rotating shifts and weekend hours; Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills.
