The nurse manager operates in accordance with the mission, vision, values, objectives and policies of the hospital.  Assumes 24 hour accountability for the management and patient care in the department.  The nurse manager creates and maintains a work environment conducive to effective communication, collaboration, team building and professionalism.  Qualifications for the position are licensed as RN in the State of Illinois, at least three years experience in nursing with demonstrated leadership/management skills, bachelor's degree held or actively being pursued, certification in ACLS and TNS and demonstrates excellent communication skills.
