Psychiatric Staff Registered Nurse In Illinois Job Details

Shift: Days and Weekend Rotation
Hours: M- F 8:00am-4:30pm and every 3rd weekend

Basic Function: Provides psychiatric nursing care to assigned patients through the use of the nursing process in accordance with standard nursing practice and established nursing policies and procedures. Assumes full responsibility and accountability for coordination of patient care, services, referrals and resources for assigned caseload. Supervises care rendered by Home Health Aides. Participates in multi-disciplinary case conferences as appropriate.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice professional nursing in Illinois


• BSN preferred


• Minimum of two years clinical experience in an acute adult inpatient psychiatric setting required


• Knowledge of community mental health resources required


• Strong medical/surgical background with good assessment skills preferred


• Home Health experience preferred


• Current CPR certification required


• Valid Illinois driver's license required


• Current auto liability insurance required
